Guide Profile – Luke
Luke Joined the Alpine Rafting Team Summer ’15. He came to us as a seasoned guide from the Ottawa River. In Luke’s first season at Alpine, he was one of our most junior guides. It took him a few weeks to get trained up on the Kicking Horse. Making the switch from the pool & drop nature of the Ottawa River to the oar frames & continuous rapids of the Kicking Horse was something that he learned quickly. Luke is an avid kayaker, photographer and skier. During Luke’s second season at Alpine he was able to take on some more diverse opportunities – kayak photography projects. Luke now calls BC home and currently spends his winters guiding and taking video for a Heli Skiing Company out of Bluewater, BC
