O.K. so your ready to go rafting! What next?
What do I wear? What can I bring with me?
Alpine Rafting has all the gear you will need! All you need to do is bring your swimsuit, towel and sunglasses if it’s a sunny day. Sunscreen is a good idea too.
Got a waterproof camera?
Great, bring it along. You can also record your trip with a Go Pro (rentals available at the office) to show all your friends what they missed out on.
There’s no room for a bag or anything else on the raft so if you bring a bag, it would have to stay on the bus. If you have any medication you need to have with you, your guide can help you out with that.
What about food?
If you’re rafting on a full day trip a big riverside BBQ lunch will be provided for you. With 6 items to choose from from the BBQ, and a big buffet of sides and salads, there’s always lots of food for everyone.
If you’re joining us for a half day trip, be sure to have a bit to eat before you come, as you’ll be joining up with the trip after lunch.
Anything else?
Personally, to prepare to go rafting, I usually make sure I’m rested up. It’s going to be a day of endurance and excitement! I’ll save the wobbly pops for after the trip, when I’m back at camp (sure don’t want to do this hungover)!
The best part is that you don’t need any experience! All skill levels will have a great time on the river!
