- WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? Farm country outside Beeton, Ontario
- WHERE IS HOME NOW? Currently I am back in the heart of the Canadian Mountains here in Golden!
- YEAR STARTED GUIDING.? 2009
- WHAT’S THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB? Being on the water everyday and getting to call the river my office.
- WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE RAPID? For rafting it is the entirety of the Lower Canyon, with 3 km of continuous Class 4 whitewater surrounded by high canyon walls. For paddling my C1 it would be a rapid on the Pipestone River just by Lake Louise.
- WHAT CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT ?My dog Ellie, who is the ultimate adventure partner. Whether it is paddling, back country skiing or biking she is always by my side.
- FAVORITE GUIDING MEMORY The first day I got to lead one of Alpine’s trips down the Lower Canyon. While paddle guiding as well!

- FAVOURITE RAPID & WHY ?I have a lot of love for a lot of rapids.I would like too say the Seven Sisters on the Rouge but a rapid called Center Slot on the Ottawa river truly takes my heart.

- WHERE DO YOU CALL HOME NOW? Home is where the heart is.
- YEAR STARTED GUIDING.? 2011
- WHAT’S THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB? I get to play outside.
- WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE RAPID? A rapid called Center Slot on the Ottawa River where I learned to become a river guide. Its the hardest move on the river and if you nail it, you just get destroyed! Pop up in big section of flat water and just swim back to your raft.
- WHAT CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT ? MOTHER NATURE
- FUN FACT, SPECIAL TALENT OR FAVORITE GUIDING MEMORY AGAIN, on the ottawa river where i have spentn the last three seasons guiding. I would have to go with a rapid called ‘bus eater’ being my fave memory! THE sheer excitement of everyone in the raft can really be felt on this rapid.

- WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? South Island of New Zealand, also lived in Japan and Saudi Arabia when growing up.
- WHERE’S HOME FOR YOU NOW? Golden, British Columbia
- YEAR STARTED GUIDING? 2013 at the The Legendary Blackwater Rafting Company in 2013 through the Waitomo Caves.
Then started whitewater rafting at Queenstown Rafting in 2015
- WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT GUIDING? The best part of my job is that I get to have fun! I love being active and doing fun things, even better if you get paid to have fun!
- FAVOURITE RAPID & WHY ? I love the Landsborough River in NZ. It is a 3 day rafting trip that runs down the centre of the Southern Alps. Amazing landscape, amazing river a few too many sandflys so though!
- WHAT REPRESENTS GOOD LUCK TO YOU? I have a Hei Matau Pounamu which is a Maori Greenstone necklace in the shape of a fish hook. It represents strength, good luck and safe travel across water.

- FUN FACT,OR SPECIAL TALENT ABOUT YOURSELF? I finished 3rd in the Crankworx mountain biking competition in 2016
- WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT GUIDING? Talking! And being out on the water everyday doing what I love.
- DO YOU HAVE A LUCKY CHARM OR SPECIAL RIVER TRADITION? My pounamu, which is in the shape of a fish hook. In New Zealand culture, it is a symbol that brings good luck on the water.
- WHAT CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT ? My wife! Who also may have helped me fill this in 🙂

- WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR JOB? I love being able to travel the world and meet new amazing people who share the same passion for whitewater

FAVORITE GUIDING MEMORY ? I was working in New Zealand and had a chance to explore and raft some amazing new rivers.
- DO YOU HAVE A LUCKY CHARM OR SPECIAL RIVER TRADITION? My special river tradition is going under any waterfalls the rivers have or pay respect to the river in any way I feel appropriate.

- WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING IF YOU WEREN’T A GUIDE? I am also a trained paramedic and would love to get into search and rescue at one point in my life.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU? I am inspired by my passion for the river. I love the challenge of getting a new crew and not only keeping them safe but ensuring they enjoy themselves and gain a new respect and love for whitewater.

- WHERE’S HOME FOR YOU NOW? Currently living in Queenstown, New Zealand but am excited to soon call Golden my home!

- WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT THIS SUMMER:
So excited to spend a summer with a fun new crew and to do as much exploring in the area with my camera as possible.
- TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVOURITE COUNTRY/HIKE/PLACE AND WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL: Fiordland National Park – South West corner of New Zealand. Fiordland National Park is a World Heritage site and is home to most amazing hikes in the country and the most beautiful sights including Doubtful and Milford Sound – I am lucky to call this my backyard!
- WHAT CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT ? Friends, family and sweet treats before bed!
- FUN FACT Last year I travelled around South East Asia for 101 days and didn’t get food poisoning once! I did however, spend 18 of those days on crutches…
